"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it." -Adolf Hitler
What was "The Final Solution" and how did it Affect the Jewish Population?
"The Final Solution" is a solution created by Adolf Hitler that started in the summer of 1941 and was believed to answer the "Jewish Question" and terminate the Jewish population. Hitler first began talking about his "Solution" as early as 1919, stating that his race, the Aryan race, was pure, and that Jews, Slavs, Gypsies, Homosexuals, mentally challenged, and disabled people should be eliminated. When he came to power, his "Final Solution" could become a reality. He and the Nazi troops began carrying out this idea searching town to town throughout Europe to collect all the Jews in their path. Some were killed on the spot, but most were taken back to Germany and sent to concentration or death camps where mass murder took place. Hitler was at his height of success. It is estimated that the total number of Jews killed in the Final Solution is almost 6 million people, or 67% of the European population.
