Childhood and Background of Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler was born in a small Austrian town on April 20th, 1889. He was the second son of Alois and Klara Hitler. He lost interest in school after he moved in 1898. His entire childhood consisted of loss, 4 of his brothers and sisters died, his father died in 1903, and his mother died in December 1907. He then moved from Linz to the capital, Vienna, where he hoped to enroll at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts to pursue a career as an artist. He was rejected, and then left Vienna for Munich. He volunteered to fight for Germany in World War I and was accepted into the Bavarian army in August 1914.
